Torrey Smith’s WrestleMania XXIX predictions

World champion Torrey Smith of the Baltimore Ravens stopped by Studio 66 this week to talk a little football but the conversation quickly turned to WrestleMania XXIX where he and I broke down the card. The following are Smith’s picks, along with my analysis.

J.J. Watt and others taking initiative

A.C. Slater, CM Punk, and M. Night Shyamalan.  Famous figures known by their mysterious initials.  The NFL has had a plethora of players known by singular letters from Y.A. Tittle to T. J. Houshmandzadeh. Pick Six: NFL player/WWE superstar comparisons

The biggest story in sports this week is the return of The Rock to the WWF. The news sent waves around the world, not only was The Rock trending on Twitter, but so was his alter-ego Dwayne Johnson. That, my friends, takes star power.

And it got me thinking, is there anybody in the NFL who carries the Rock’s charisma? Some might say Chad Ochocinco, but that doesn’t really work. Mainly because The Rock was once a champion.
