Saints coach Sean Payton says he hasn’t made a decision on whether Darren Sharper will start the season on the reserve/PUP list.

The Saints announced Thursday that FS Darren Sharper, WR Robert Meachem, WR Marques Colston and LB Clint Ingram will begin training camp on the PUP list.

After another busy Monday in the NFL, here’s some news you might have missed.

Colts DE Robert Mathis, whose status for Thursday night’s meeting with the Jaguars was a game-time decision, is active and expected to start. And, as NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi reported earlier in the day, Colts DE Dwight Freeney also is active and expected to play.

The Colts listed 29 players — over half the active roster — on Wednesday’s final injury report, including DEs Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis, who are questionable to face the Jaguars.
