While some players handled business — like getting fitted for personal mouth guards — others are still living the good life.

Injury lists for some teams are already reaching double-digits, and the games haven’t even begun.

The agents for draft prospects B.J. Raji, Vontae Davis, Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews said their clients passed all drug and steroid screenings administered at the draft combine in February.

A website that focuses on the NFL draft recently reported that some draft-eligible players had tested positive for drugs. However, an NFL spokesman refuted that Friday, saying “neither the 32 clubs nor the league office know the results of drug or steroid tests taken at the 2009 Combine.”

Linebacker Clay Matthews, who went from walk-on to starter during his career at USC, has visits set up with Cleveland, Tennessee and Denver.

The group of USC linebackers who worked out at the school’s pro day on Wednesday includes three likely first-round draft choices, and a possible fourth. An impressive group to say the least.

USC has three linebackers that may go in the first round (Rey Maualuga, Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews), and all three will workout here at the combine.

While the trio were teammates with the Trojans, they are now competitors.
