Even after losing starting quarterback Chad Pennington for the season, the stock arrow for the Dolphins is pointing up. Second-year QB Chad Henne showed well in his first NFL start as he led Miami to a 38-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Dolphins QB Chad Pennington was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a right shoulder injury and didn’t return. Chad Henne, who was listed as the Dolphins’ No. 3 QB, replaced Pennington, who was 8-of-12 passing for 54 yards before he left the game.

Pennington has long been the forgotten third domino in the Brett Favre–Aaron Rodgers soap opera during the offseason, but he could lead the Dolphins from a 1-15 record in 2007 to the playoffs this season.

Miami likes to list players on its injury report as much as it likes to deactivate them. But there was an interesting name added to Miami’s injury report Saturday — Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington with a foot injury.
