The Chicago Bears, decimated by injuries at linebacker this season, found help Tuesday in the form of veteran free agent Cato June.

The Texans have agreed to terms with LBs Cato June and Buster Davis, the Houston Chronicle reports. June will receive a one-year, $1.5 million contract that could reach $2 million, according to the Chronicle, but terms of Davis’ deal weren’t disclosed.

The Texans are looking for some depth at linebacker and are visiting with free agent Cato June today.

Mark Dominik and Raheem Morris decided the Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed a direction. And for the first time since the 1994 season, that direction won’t involve LB Derrick Brooks.

The Buccaneers will release WR Joey Galloway, his agent told the St. Petersburg Times, but he might not be the only veteran leaving Tampa Bay. The Times later reported that the Bucs also had released LBs Derrick Brooks and Cato June, RB Warrick Dunn and WR Ike Hilliard. Those moves hadn’t been confirmed by the Bucs, but the team announced a 3 p.m. ET press conference.
