The Lions have five quarterbacks, a position that has been in a constant state of flux for first-year coach Jim Schwartz over the last week. Beyond rookie Matthew Stafford, who will start Thursday’s preseason finale against the Bills, not much is clear right now for the Lions.

The Lions claimed QB Kevin O’Connell on waivers today and signed free agent Brooks Bollinger.

The Cowboys benched QB Brad Johnson to start the second half, but the initial results were not favorable. Backup QB Brooks Bollinger replaced Johnson on the Cowboy’s first series, and was intercepted on his first pass attempt by James Butler.

Despite the fact that Cowboys quarterback Brooks Bollinger took what one team official described as a “very minimal” number of reps with the starting offense, there is a pervasive feeling that he could play today for the Giants.
