Jeff Garcia is inactive and will not play against the Atlanta Falcons. NFL.com’s Steve Wyche is reporting that QB Brian Griese, not QB Luke McCown, will start in his absence.

Buccaneers starting QB Brian Griese left Sunday’s 16-13 loss to the Broncos with a right shoulder injury and did not return. Griese was injured midway through the third quarter when he was hit by a blitzing Champ Bailey. He finished 13-of-19 for 88 yards.

Brian Griese injured his shoulder after a hard tackle by Champ Bailey and was forced to leave the Buccaneers-Broncos game. Jeff Garcia came into to replace him.
