NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora was stationed in Berea, Ohio, at Browns training camp. La Canfora says that while Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson are handling the pressure-packed quarterback competition well, he believes Anderson will be the one roaming the sidelines without a helmet while holding a clipboard when the Browns open their season Sept. 13.
Braylon Edwards was back practicing with the Browns today after missing the team’s first four days of training camp with an undisclosed injury.

Cleveland coach Eric Mangini has refused to reveal the nature of Edwards’ injury and reiterated on Tuesday that Cleveland’s top playmaker will be on the field when he is medically cleared by the Browns’ training staff.

Browns coaches have not routinely addressed the status of jailed and suspended wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth to the team or used his absence as incentive to get players to compete for his spot.

Michael Fabiano discusses the fantasy implications of the NFL Draft.
Having taken two wide receivers in the draft, Giants general manager Jerry Reese obviously opted against trading for Browns WR Braylon Edwards or one of the other veterans.
There is some potential for trade activity at the front end of the draft. Where a move could be made is anyone’s guess, but it appears QB Mark Sanchez is the target that’s creating the stir. The Rams continue to say Sanchez is a possibility for them with the No. 2 pick, even though they have more pressing needs.
Michael Fabiano believes the fantasy value of Eli Manning is in serious trouble if the Giants don’t trade for Braylon Edwards.
Texas Tech’s Michael Crabtree would love to play for the Browns, which would give the team at least one receiver who wants to be in Cleveland. But is the feeling mutual?
The Giants have been rumored to be working on a trade for Browns WR Braylon Edwards. That pleases Giants No. 1 WR Steve Smith, who says he would welcome another big-play receiver to give the team some depth at the position. Domenik Hixon isn’t as thrilled — mainly because he has been mentioned in the trade for Edwards.
