The free-agent market has been stripped of most of the headline names, but teams are still actively filling gaps and signing their own restricted free agents. Among those who found homes Monday was DE Cory Redding, who reached terms on a two-year contract with the Ravens.
The Jets have extended a contract tender to WR Braylon Edwards at the first- and third-round level, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora has confirmed.
The Jets will tender contracts to versatile WR Brad Smith and safety Eric Smith, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum told the team’s official Web site Monday.
