Got Lions? Get ‘em in your lineup

Jim Schwartz suggests that he has no plans to rest his players this week, which means fantasy owners should feel confident starting any Lions on their roster.

Playbook: Lloyd a low-risk addition

With less touchdowns (four) than they have losses this season (five), the Rams were desperate for some kind of weapon on offense.

Five ‘eye in the sky’ matchups for Week 2

A look at five matchups from five games in Week 2 that we believe be the first waves in a rippling pond.

Data Points: Tight end a safe pick in first round

If you haven’t heard it yet, you’re bound to catch it at some point this weekend. Someone, whether it’s a draft analyst, host, or just the burly guy drinking a PBR next to you at the sports bar, will wonder aloud why a team would take a tight end in the first round.

Looking at options to replace Colts TE Clark

Fantasy owners who have Dallas Clark need to be looking for alternatives immediately.

Finley is out; time to look for other options

Well if you will all excuse me, I will go take a Lambeau Leap into a brick wall, following the news that Jermichael Finley is going to be out for the rest of the season. The Vikings swung a trade with the Lions which may make Detroit better.

Scheffler deal adds to Stafford’s value

It also gives opposing defenses another player to cover in the middle of the field, which should help Calvin Johnson avoid constant double and triple teams. Scheffler is a solid pass-catching tight end who was once a viable fantasy starter during his time with the Broncos. He’ll be second on the Lions depth chart behind Brandon Pettigrew, though Scheffler could start in […]

Eagles make great move to get LB Sims

I love the Eagles acquisition of Ernie Sims. They have been seeking an upgrade to anchor the linebacker position for them, and Sims makes a lot of sense.

Injured Stafford leads Lions to improbable finish

Rookie QB Matthew Stafford didn’t let an apparent injury prevent him from leading the Detroit Lions to a 38-37 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday with — literally — no time left on the clock.
