Jim Schwartz suggests that he has no plans to rest his players this week, which means fantasy owners should feel confident starting any Lions on their roster.

With less touchdowns (four) than they have losses this season (five), the Rams were desperate for some kind of weapon on offense.

If you haven’t heard it yet, you’re bound to catch it at some point this weekend. Someone, whether it’s a draft analyst, host, or just the burly guy drinking a PBR next to you at the sports bar, will wonder aloud why a team would take a tight end in the first round.
Fantasy owners who have Dallas Clark need to be looking for alternatives immediately.
Well if you will all excuse me, I will go take a Lambeau Leap into a brick wall, following the news that Jermichael Finley is going to be out for the rest of the season. Finley was one of the top tight ends in fantasy, and — if you are like me — you probably scooped him up early during the dreaded tight-end run during your draft.

This is the first Saturday in a long time that had some football. Who else is ready for this?
Much has been made of the offseason acquisitions by the Detroit Lions, and the addition of Tony Scheffler may be the most unheralded.

One of the most lasting images of the 2009 season was rookie QB Matthew Stafford getting drilled while throwing a pass against the Browns, being helped off the field, and then returning to throw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Pettigrew to lead the Lions to the win. Now the Lions quarterback is healthy and ready for 2010.
It’s very early, but several of the long list of injured Lions from last season are showing encouraging signs.

The Vikings swung a trade with the Lions which may make Detroit better.

It also gives opposing defenses another player to cover in the middle of the field, which should help Calvin Johnson avoid constant double and triple teams. Scheffler is a solid pass-catching tight end who was once a viable fantasy starter during his time with the Broncos. He’ll be second on the Lions depth chart behind Brandon Pettigrew, though Scheffler could start in […]

I love the Eagles acquisition of Ernie Sims. They have been seeking an upgrade to anchor the linebacker position for them, and Sims makes a lot of sense.
Rookie QB Matthew Stafford didn’t let an apparent injury prevent him from leading the Detroit Lions to a 38-37 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday with — literally — no time left on the clock.
