Browns QB Brady Quinn was fined $10,000 for diving at the knees of Ravens LB Terrell Suggs and injuring him during Monday’s night’s 16-0 loss to Baltimore, a league source confirmed.

It’s been widely assumed inside the Browns organization that Brady Quinn would take over for Derek Anderson as the starting quarterback following the bye week, but coach Eric Mangini has not informed players or many other staff members of his final decision, which will be announced Wednesday.

What’s the future of QB Brady Quinn in Cleveland? If there isn’t more production out of Quinn, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns make a change at some point in the next three to five weeks.

The 49ers honored former owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. prior to Sunday’s win over the Seahawks. But nobody will ever confuse this year’s version of the 49ers and those great teams that DeBartolo presided over in the past. Well maybe in one category — winning.

No team celebrates its past more than the Raiders. So it should come as no surprise that Raiders managing general partner Al Davis told Santa Rosa Press Democrat reporter Phil Barber that he loved seeing those throwback uniforms on Monday night.

I have a strange feeling that Cleveland coach Eric Mangini is a huge fan of the movie “Usual Suspects” (I am, by the way; a top-fiver). You know the bad guy is the cunning Keyser Söze but you don’t know who the bad guy actually is until the final moment.
