Representatives from 22 NFL teams — including Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight ends coach Jon Embree — were on hand Monday for Bowling Green’s pro day, where 14 players worked out. There were two athletes who had notable workouts: Alex Bayer, TE (6-foot-3 7/8, 257 pounds) — Bayer ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 and 4.78 seconds. He had a 31 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-3 broad jump. He ran the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.42 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.26 seconds. Bowling Green held its pro day on Tuesday. Twenty NFL teams sent scouts to watch four players participate in drills indoors on AstroTurf. Chris Jones, DT (6-1 7/8, 301) — Jones clocked in a 5.10 and 5.13 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He also notched an 8-foot-9 broad jump and a 31-inch vertical jump. He did not do the bench or short-shuttle run.
