The Titans pulled two lineup surprises for Sunday’s game against the Texans, deactivating TE Bo Scaife and DB Vincent Fuller. Neither player was listed on Friday’s injury report.

One of the reasons restricted free agent TE Bo Scaife ended his boycott of Titans offseason work was that he was sick of QB Vince Young being in his ear about what he had missed.

Bo Scaife, the Titans’ leading receiver last season, will be sidelined in Week 2, the result of a knee injury suffered on what the tight end described as a “cheap shot” from Steelers LB Jerome Harrison in Week 1. Scaife caught five passes for 48 yards in that game.

One of the biggest surprises in the NFL last season was the Titans’ improbable run to a league-best 13-3 regular-season record and the dethroning of the almighty Colts, snapping Indianapolis’ five-year reign as AFC South champions. Even more stunning was the rebirth of 36-year-old Kerry Collins, who led the Titans to a 10-0 start and a No.1 seed in the AFC playoff race. The Cowboys scouting assistant Rich Behm, who was partially paralyzed in the the collapse of the team’s practice facility in Irving, Texas, spoke with WFAA about his ordeal. Behm was caught underneath the tent-like structure when it collapse during a storm in May.
