As players and coaches began to arrive for the Pro Bowl on Monday, it became immediately clear that we’ll be seeing a major Packers presence throughout the week. And not just because Clay Matthews owned the pool for much of the day.

I was one of the loudest critics of Ted Thompson’s decision not to welcome Brett Favre back after the QB decided to unretire. Vikings G Steve Hutchinson returned to practice today, albeit in limited fashion, and is listed as questionable to play Monday night against the Packers. Hutchinson is dealing with a back problem, but he hasn’t missed a game this season.

Rams rookie RT Jason Smith is doubtful to play against the Packers on Sunday because of a knee injury. The No. 2 overall draft pick started in the Rams’ first two games.

Packers safety Atari Bigby has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Bengals because of a knee injury suffered in Week 1 and could miss up to a month, according to the team’s Web site. Third-year pro Aaron Rouse is expected to replace Bigby in the lineup.

Rookie defensive tackle B.J. Raji is listed as questionable on the Packers’ injury report for Sunday’s season opener vs. the division rival Chicago Bears.
