Some playoff dreams were dashed on Monday night. And no, not just the Jets. (Although in fairness to the Jets, they should make the playoffs. But coach Rex Ryan would just have a hard time getting those guys on plane to fly to New England in January.)

A lot of fantasy enthusiasts who picked at the top of the draft this year are facing a rather troubling dilemma with guys like Maurice Jones-Drew and Ray Rice who have failed to produce top-pick points. And now what do you do with them? You have spent too high of a draft pick to bench them and there is little to no trade value with them now.

Sammy Morris (knee) and LaMont Jordan (calf) were unable to practice on Thursday, creating speculation that both could be listed as questionable or worse for this week’s game against the Rams. With Laurence Maroney on injured reserve and out for the season, Morris had become a hot asset in all fantasy leagues. But if he and Jordan are unable to play this weekend as reported by Adam Schefter, Kevin Faulk and Benjarvus Green-Ellis would become valuable options off the waiver wire. Green-Ellis was a virtual unknown until his impressive performance on Monday night in the absence of Morris.
