Representatives from 18 NFL teams gathered at Arizona’s pro day, where 12 players worked out. The event was held outdoors and the players ran on natural grass. The entire offensive coaching staff of the Arizona Cardinals was on hand for the workout.

Anquan Boldin-like WR prospect Criner definitely improved his status at the Arizona pro day.

One of the tougher evaluations in the upcoming draft is Arizona’s Rob Gronkowski. The talented tight end is considered one of the best prospects in the draft at his position, but missed all of last season with a back injury, and was not ready to run drills at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was finally able to work out in front of scouts on Saturday, and his performance was eye-opening.

Rob Gronkowski, Mike Mayock‘s second-rated tight end, and a player some analysts have projected as a possible first-rounder, is still injured and could not work out at Arizona’s pro day on March 10. The back injury that cost Gronkowski his entire 2009 season has healed, but he is still working on his conditioning. He will work out Saturday morning, March 27, one day after nearby Arizona State’s pro day.
