Trend toward big corners works in Richardson’s favor

Representatives from 25 NFL teams — including the entire Arizona Cardinals coaching staff — were on hand to see 15 players from Arizona work out outdoors in perfect 80-degree weather. Ka’Deem Carey, RB (5-foot-9 1/4, 209 pounds) — Carey ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 and 4.69 seconds. He had a 35-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-5 broad jump. The back injury that cost Gronkowski his entire 2009 season has healed, but he is still working on his conditioning. He will work out Saturday morning, March 27, one day after nearby Arizona State’s pro day.
