One day after the Rams admitted that DT Adam Carriker had a “significant shoulder injury,” they placed him on season-ending injured reserve. St. Louis also trimmed its roster en route to reaching the 53-man limit.

Steven Jackson hurt his quadriceps muscle late in Sunday’s win over the Cowboys.
“We’re not sure if he pulled a quad,’’ coach Jim Haslett said in his post-game presser. “He will be getting an MRI in the morning. Hopefully it is not too severe.’’
