The curious case of the Bengals and Antonio Bryant turned out to be more odd than curious, and came to an end when the receiver was released on Sunday.
We’ve heard that Antonio Bryant is feeling that he’s closer to returning to the field. Beyond that, much about Bryant’s immediate future is still up in the air.
Antonio Bryant continues to remain upbeat that he’ll be on the field again soon.

The level of concern over the health of Antonio Bryant might have to be raised after the Bengals revealed he has missed four straight practices.
In the fallout of the Terrell Owens signing, some of the talk has been that Bengals coach Marvin Lewis wasn’t 100 percent behind the move. Solomon Wilcots points to the slow recovery of Antonio Bryant as the impetus behind the move.
We have word that Terrell Owens will continue to wear his signature number for the Bengals, making a deal with Antonio Bryant.
Terrell Owens in the Bengals offense makes a lot of sense. The Bengals are now one of the few teams in the league that can now go into a spread formation and present a formidable trio of receivers that will pose problems for defenses.

One of the most lasting images of the 2009 season was rookie QB Matthew Stafford getting drilled while throwing a pass against the Browns, being helped off the field, and then returning to throw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Pettigrew to lead the Lions to the win.
