49ers punter Andy Lee put it best when he said, “There must be something in the water” in the Bay Area. That’s the only explanation as to why, for likely the first time ever, the kicking units for the NFC and AFC each come from two teams from one area: 49ers and Raiders.

I went to an NFL PLAY 60 Community Blitz event Thursday in nearby Lauderhill expecting to write some blogs on building a playground. Instead, I got to do a very small part to help build one, and it’s the highlight of my Pro Bowl week so far.

The NFC is first up for practice Thursday, and the players have already changed and are getting to position meetings. Among them are Vikings RB Adrian Peterson and Falcons WR Roddy White, who missed the first day of practice yesterday as a late addition.
