There were a fair number of fantasy disappointments in the — what we on the West Coast call — the 10 a.m. games. And a number of them are now on ‘the list.’

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks is punishing the Texans right now, scoring two touchdowns — and how about a better effort on what could have been another touchdown — and putting up a ton a fantasy points. And if you started him, you are ecstatic.
Finally, some good news. NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora is reporting that Texans WR Andre Johnson and Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw are expected to play on Sunday according to sources. Which is good because many are predicting a shootout in this one.

A couple of injury notes to pass along from the Raiders and Texans matchup in Oakland.
Texans Pro Bowl WR Andre Johnson will not play Sunday against the Raiders because of an ankle injury that kept him out of practice during the week.
Texans WR Andre Johnson missed his second consecutive practice with an ankle injury and is officially listed as questionable against the Raiders this week. But this has an added bonus with a matchup against Nnamdi Asomugha and the caveat that this is a 1 p.m. game in Oakland, which means you will either have to sit or get off the pot before all of the early games even start.
Athletes always contend that toe injuries are some of the most painful ailments to overcome. And while it’s not a sexy appendage to brag about injuring — notice Keanu Reeves never talks glowingly about injuring his toe during his inspirational speech to his teammates during The Replacements — this can be extremely troublesome for the fantasy enthusiasts.
