Though LB Adalius Thomas has yet to be traded or released, it’s widely assumed that he has played his last down as a Patriot. On Friday, Thomas seemingly expedited that possibility, opening up to the Boston Globe about his friction with the Patriots’ coaching staff, including a lengthy rant against the team’s rehabilitation methods.
The Patriots’ offseason program began Monday, and though LB Adalius Thomas wasn’t present for the voluntary workouts, he remains on the team … for now.
Despite the obvious discord between Adalius Thomas and coach Bill Belichick, the LB is still a member of the Patriots, a situation the Boston Globe‘s Albert Breer attributes to a front-loaded contract that behooves the Patriots to keep Thomas on the roster at least until the new league year begins on March 5.
