Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris announced that RB Derrick Ward will start Sunday against the Giants, his former team, while Cadillac Williams (knee) and Earnest Graham (hamstring) nurse injuries. Williams and Graham both are listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
The Giants might replace the production of injured rookie WR Hakeem Nicks by increasing the role of reserve Sinorice Moss.
As expected, Giants CB Aaron Ross will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury. The Giants will also be without the services of DE Chris Canty, as reported by NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. Canty strained his calf during practice on Wednesday and will miss a game for the first time in his five-year NFL career.
New York Giants CBs Aaron Ross and Kevin Dockery are inactive today against the Washington Redskins, moving Terrell Thomas into the starting lineup.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin didn’t provide much of an update on two injured starters, CB Aaron Ross and RB Brandon Jacobs, on Monday, leaving their status to be determined later in the week.
The Giants are attempting to come back on the Eagles with two injured starters — RB Brandon Jacobs and CB Aaron Ross — on the sidelines.
The Giants held Brandon Jacobs out of practice on Wednesday, but the bruising running back is expected to return to practice tomorrow despite a knee injury he suffered in Week 11.
