As I approached the press entrance to Heinz Field, I noticed a sudden commotion outside the door. My natural reporter’s instincts required me to investigate. It turned out that the cause of all the fuss was rapper Snoop Dogg, who was posing for photos while surrounded by his entourage.

Most of the kids carrying helmets for Lions players onto the practice field at training camp are 13 or 14 years old. Then there was the 20-year-old holding the helmet of 21-year-old rookie QB Matthew Stafford.

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — New Chiefs coach Todd Haley is running one of the toughest and hardest-hitting training camps in the league.
The Chiefs have been in pads for all but one day since camp opened on Aug. 1. Veteran observers of the team say it’s the most hitting the Chiefs have done in camp since 1998, Marty Schottenheimer‘s final season as head coach.
