The NFL and the NFLPA have come to a basic agreement on the terms of the rookie pool, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The agreement clears the way for the Indianapolis Colts to negotiate a deal with Andrew Luck.

The New England Patriots have inquired with the Seattle Seahawks what it would take to get to No. 12 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, sources with direct knowledge of the situation said Thursday.

The Patriots have the No. 27 and No. 31 overall picks in the first round.
