Fantasy Post Mortem: Airing of Grievances

If you fine folks have followed along, you know I received a Festivus miracle last week when the Tennessee Titans defense scored 18 points (thank you, Mark Sanchez) to secure the win against Matt “Money” Smith. I ultimately fell short in that league (more on those circumstances in a moment). I went 2-2 on Championship Weekend, as I again took out “Money” in our NFL.com Experts League. So I’m stuck in kind of limbo, fantasy purgatory similar to the finale of “Lost.” But two championships is pretty cool. And to fight off my NFL Fantasy Live peers for the second time in three seasons is pretty cool, too. Moving on, it should be noted so many fantasy football championships were […]

Tim Tebow, others stranded on the NFL Island of Misfit Players

The “Island of Misfit Toys” was an island where all of the unwanted toys were sent during the TV special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” The NFL has its own version of that island, with populated by the following players.

It’s Wonderful NFL Life: Reasons for hope for your team

Every year many of us gather around the TV to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” a lovely Christmas tale where George Bailey is given a second chance on life after a visit from a guardian angel. And many of you are likely a little morose after your team has failed to reach the playoffs in 2012. Well, consider me your Clarence as I show you why there is reason for hope with your favorite team. And without further ado …

The Cardboard Bio – Franco Harris

Here’s a look back at the career of Franco Harris through his football cards. This will kick-off a new series we call The Cardboard Bio.

Monday Nightmare: Mark Sanchez — miracle worker

Sometimes things go right for you on Monday night. Even for Adam Rank. No, seriously.

Fantasy Post Mortem: Fantasy Football isn’t fun

Fantasy football stopped being fun for a lot of us in Week 16. Though, I’ve long contended fantasy football isn’t fun. You’re gutted when your team loses, and you’re merely relived when your team wins.

Monday Nightmare: Wes Welker in Super Bowl form

Monday night was do or die for just about everybody. The entire season hinged on one game. And Patriots WR Wes Welker treated it like a Super Bowl … and he dropped the ball.

Fantasy Post Mortem: What if RG3 doesn’t play?

For the majority of the season, I have admonished fantasy enthusiasts for having too many good quarterbacks. Trade one! I often decried. They can’t score fantasy points for you from the bench.

The expression I search for right now is “hoist on my own petard.”

Meet Kirk Cousins: Redskins Quarterback and Cinephile

It should come as no surprise a Redskins rookie quarterback rallied his team to victory on Sunday. What is a surprise is the rookie is Kirk Cousins. But just who is Kirk Cousins? Aside from a 2012 fourth round pick from Michigan State? Well, you can learn a lot from a man from reading his Twitter feed. And it turns out, he really knows his movies. Home Alone on ABC Family right now. What a great movie. — Kirk Cousins (@KirkCousins8) December 6, 2012 And he sure moved like Kevin McCallister when he tied up the game on a two-point conversion. Dare we say, the Ravens channeled their inner Wet Bandit Excited to meet Sinbad tonight! "Houseguest" is an all […]

Monday Nightmare: No playoffs for me

Welcome to the Monday Nightmare and this truly was the most anxiety-filled night of fantasy football I’ve ever experienced.

Fantasy Post Mortem: Adrian Peterson is not human

It’s time to take a look at all of the happenings in fantasy football this week, and that includes Adrian Peterson‘s amazing performance.

A Very Tebow Holiday – Gift Ideas for Tim Tebow Fans

Merry Christmas. Are you struggling to come up with the perfect present for the Tim Tebow fan in your life? Have no fear, we have found the best gift ideas for the Tebower you hold near and dear.

Monday Nightmare: Would Jeremy Maclin ruin a great night?

Monday night could have been a big night for me. There was a chance I could shoot the moon and go 5-0 in my fantasy leagues this week. And Dean Ambrose was going to cut a promo on Monday Night RAW. The only thing that could have have ruined the whole thing was seven points from Jeremy Maclin and John Cena.

Unexpected (and expected) for Week 12: Bald is beautiful

We are just in Week 12 and people are already starting to jump ship. And that’s just Fireman Ed, who is leaving his role as the face of Jets’ fandom. Or as I like to call, “the story I’m the least interested in.”

Seriously, this has become a thing?

Enough of this nonsense, let’s get to the Unexpected (and expected) from Week 12.

Fantasy Postmortem: Of course Reggie Bush scores

One of the biggest fears as a fantasy enthusiast, other than having to start Mark Sanchez, is for one of your guys to have a huge day … after you’ve long given up on him.
