Two Dartmouth prospects could be free-agent pickups

Four NFL teams were present for Dartmouth’s pro day on March 28, when two potential free-agent pickups for teams following the conclusion of the 2014 NFL Draft worked out. The pro day was held indoors and run on FieldTurf.

Dom Pierre, RB (5-foot-10 1/2, 215 pounds) — Pierre ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 and 4.69 seconds. He had a 30 1/2-inch vertical jump and 9-foot-11 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.49 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.26 seconds. He also performed 18 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Pierre, who is from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., attended an event for local draft prospects held by the Miami Dolphins.

Garrett Waggoner, FS (6-0 5/8, 218) — Waggoner ran the 40 in 4.56 seconds. He pulled his left hamstring on that first 40 attempt and was unable to run another 40 or do the shuttle runs. He had a 39 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-2 broad jump. He performed 25 strength lifts.

The last player from Dartmouth who was drafted was running back Casey Cramer, who was a seventh-round selection by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2004 NFL Draft.
