There were 10 players who worked out at McNeese State’s pro day on April 7. The workout was held outdoors and run on FieldTurf on a 55-degree day and in windy conditions.
Nic Jacobs, TE (6-foot-5, 265 pounds) — Jacobs ran the 40-yard dash in 4.76 seconds with the wind and 4.86 seconds against the wind. He had a 35-inch vertical jump and 9-foot-9 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.72 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.40 seconds. He had a good positional workout. Jacobs has visits scheduled with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.
Diontae Spencer, WR (5-7 3/4, 173) — Spencer ran the 40 in 4.34 seconds with the wind and 4.45 seconds against the wind. He had a 40-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-3 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.30 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.22 seconds. He performed 13 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Spencer — who had 50 catches for 835 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2013 season — caught the ball well at the pro day. He could be a priority free-agent signing following the conclusion of the 2014 NFL Draft.
