Andru Pulu of Eastern Washington a possible rookie free agent

Eastern Washington defensive tackle Andru Pulu worked out Thursday at Federal Way (Wash.) High School. The workout took place outdoors in 50-degree temperatures and a slight wind, and was run on FieldTurf.

Pulu had an operation to remove bone spurs on Jan. 7 and only had a couple weeks to prepare for the workout. That workout went alright, given that Pulu got tired due to the brief among to preparation time and not being completely ready due to the injury.

Pulu (6-foot-1 3/8, 322 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 5.24 seconds against the wind and 5.15 seconds with the wind. He had a 28-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-6 broad jump. He had a short shuttle time of 4.86 seconds and the three-cone drill time of 8.30 seconds. Pulu, who has 33 5/8-inch arms, did 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Pulu is a free-agent pickup possibility following the conclusion of the 2014 NFL Draft.
