James Baker of Idaho could get NFL look as free agent

Representatives from four NFL teams were present in Moscow, Idaho for the Vandals’ pro day on March 13, where six players worked out, including one potential free-agent prospect.

James Baker, RB (6-foot 1/4, 237 pounds) — Baker ran the 40-yard dash in 4.55 and 4.56 seconds. He had a 37-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-2 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.56 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.45 seconds. He performed 27 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Baker — who was Idaho’s leading rusher in 2013 with 617 yards and six touchdowns — looked good catching the ball in the positional drills.

Baker could get picked up by an NFL team as a free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft.
