Representatives from 13 NFL teams — including defensive-line coaches from the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins — were on hand Tuesday for Temple’s pro day. Twelve players from Temple, and seven others from area small colleges, worked out indoors on FieldTurf.
One player had a noteworthy workout:
Levi Brown, DL (6-foot-2 1/8, 310 pounds) — Brown ran the 40-yard dash in 5.22 and 5.23 seconds. He had a 28 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-4 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.72 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.75 seconds. He performed 33 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Brown had a good on-field workout, and could be a late-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft or a priority free-agent pickup for NFL teams following the draft.
