Bradford impresses, Sutton doesn’t at ASU pro day

Representatives from all 32 teams were at Arizona State’s pro day Friday, including Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano and much of the Arizona Cardinals staff. Twenty players from Arizona State and nine former players worked out outdoors at Sun Devils Stadium.

Carl Bradford, OLB: Bradford (6-1 1/8, 251 pounds) reminds a lot of people of the Ravens’ Terrell Suggs; he’s not quite in Suggs’ class, but his mannerisms and the way he plays are similar. Bradford ran the 40 in 4.68 and 4.70 seconds. He had a 4.37 short shuttle and a 7.06 3-cone drill. His arms are a bit short, at 30 1/2 inches. He looked very good in his linebacker drills Friday and will probably be a second-day choice, down near the end of the third round.

Will Sutton, DT: Sutton (6-0 5/8, 297 pounds) has lost 18 pounds since the Senior Bowl. He ran a 5.31 in the 40, a 4.57 short shuttle and a 7.70 3-cone drill. He showed a strong club in his workout, but other than that he was pretty average. This is a guy who some projected as a first-round pick last summer, but after further review he’s probably a third-day pick at best.

Marion Grice, RB: Grice (6-0 1/4, 209 pounds) has a broken fibula but is expected to run April 8.
