Teams show intense interest in Jimmy Garoppolo’s pro day

Eastern Illinois’ Jimmy Garoppolo worked out at Northwestern’s pro day on Tuesday, and the NFL figures on hand for the workout show just how much interest the small-school quarterback has from teams.

Prior to Garoppolo going through pro day drills, San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh and Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien worked out the quarterback but did not stick around for the actual pro day workout. Also on hand were the quarterbacks coaches for the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans.

Garoppolo completed 29 of 39 passes at the pro day, and executed the level of workout that was expected of him. However, he likely didn’t move the needle on his draft stock one way or the other.
