That Helps No One Week 15: Matt Cassel

Well, that didn’t take long. Matt Cassel caught our attention early on as he started lighting up the scoreboard shortly after the opening kickoff in Minnesota. He had the early lead for the Week 15 That Helps No One award, and after a few more quarters of scoring at will against the Eagles’ defense, he had it locked up. Minnesota finished with 48 points today, which was by far their largest offensive output in any game this season. Without Adrian Peterson or Toby Gerhart to hand off the ball to, practically no one expected Matt Cassel to move the Vikings offense effectively, if at all. Which is why Cassel hanging 29.18 fantasy points on the Eagles was such a surprise, and worthy of this week’s award.

Not only did he throw for 382 passing yards and two touchdowns, he added a rushing touchdown as well. Cassel did it all for the Vikings today, we just wish we could say the same for some of your fantasy lineups.
