Crabtree to play this week: After spending all of this season rehabbing an Achilles injury, Michael Crabtree will be back on the field this week for the 49ers. Undoubtedly, plenty of fantasy owners have been stashing Crabtree on their rosters, waiting specifically for this moment. However, it would be premature to roll with him this week. He’s returning from an injury that is difficult to fully heal from, especially in such a short amount of time. He’s best left on your bench for the time being. However, it does bode well for Colin Kaepernick to have his favorite target back. It should also open things up for Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin in the passing game.
Forte likely to play: Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte was back at practice Thursday after missing practice earlier in the week and appears to be a good bet to play this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings. Forte was dealing with a hyperextended knee and getting some rest as a precaution. If he plays for the Bears, he should play for you. That goes double against a poor Vikings defense.
Dunbar out for season: Just when Lance Dunbar was starting to find his place in the Cowboys offense, he gets the unfortunate news that his season is likely over. Dunbar is expected to undergo knee surgery that will cut his campaign short. After his Thanksgiving performance against the Raiders, Dunbar was likely to be a waiver wire commodity. Now, however, it solidifies DeMarco Murray as the featured back in the Dallas rushing attack. That shakes out quite well for Murray with fantastic matchups (at CHI, vs GB, at WAS) looming in the fantasy playoffs.
