Crabtree to be activated: It looks like the 49ers are ready to take the wraps off of receiver Michael Crabtree. The team will reportedly activate the pass-catcher and have him on the field for Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams. Crabtree has yet to play this season but will start by facing a defense that has been middle-of-the-road in stopping fantasy wideouts. The upside is that having another weapon back is good news for the up-and-down Colin Kaepernick. Add Crabtree to Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin and the 49ers passing attack looks a lot more formidable.
McFadden could play Thursday: Across the bay, the Oakland Raiders could welcome Darren McFadden back to the lineup for their Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, coach Dennis Allen says Run DMC could be used in a reserve role to allow Rashad Jennings to take some plays off. Jennings has scored double-digit fantasy points in each of the past four weeks and has posted 20-plus points in two of those four weeks. If you’re picking an Oakland running back this week, Jennings is the guy — especially against a porous Dallas run defense.
Glennon QB of the future?: It’s probably not a surprise, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano believes Mike Glennon is the team’s future under center. The rookie has helped the Bucs to a three-game winning streak and has become something of a fantasy commodity along the way. Glennon has tallied 15 or more fantasy points in six of his last seven outings, which includes contests against the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks. He hasn’t made his way into the upper echelon of fantasy quarterbacks, but his name is one that has been worth considering for plenty of fantasy owners looking to fill the slot.
