Social (Fantasy) Network: Tricks of the trade

A large part of what makes fantasy football fun is the ability to make trades. Everyone thinks they have the ability to be a great general manager, so what better way than to move pieces around to try and compile the best roster?

Of course not every trade offer is even … or at least what most of us would call even. If you ever want an interesting look at what some people consider “fair market value”, just look at some of the trade proposals that get offered in your fantasy league. With that in mind, the Social (Fantasy) Network boots up this week and asks: What’s the worst trade deal you’ve been offered?

It seems bad trade offers fall into several categories. There’s the “I wonder if they’re paying attention.”

There’s the “Wait, wait … let me explain.”

Yeah, couldn’t we all. By the way, as a general rule, any trade offer that comes with a comment attached is itching to be rejected. Sort of like Bill Cosby explaining to his wife why the kids had chocolate cake for breakfast.

There’s the “Hail Mary”.

I hope your counter offer was for him to go home and get his shine box. Some fantasy owners will try to prey on your fandom.

While other just hope you’re not a bright as you look.

There are plenty of reasons people make bad trade offers. But we know that you all are far too smart to fall for any of them. However, this week’s final word goes to Tony, who reminds us that every now and then a bad trade somehow slips through the cracks.

That’s why you look so smug in your avatar. I kid because I envy.

Did you get a bad trade offer that didn’t make it on this list? Hit us up with it in the comment section. And as always, keep an eye out for next week’s #SocialFantasy question. Happy Week 12 everybody!
