Lynch, White skipping practices

Lynch dealing with knee issue: Marshawn Lynch has reportedly been dealing with a knee issue and didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. That might explain why he looked so pathetic against the Rams on Monday after rushing for 100 yards or more in his previous three straight versus St. Louis. The bad news for Lynch owners this week is the Bucs visit town, which means the Seahawks could very well limit his workload again since they won’t need a big effort from him to win. If you own Lynch, I’d seriously consider looking at your other options as you keep a close eye on his status through the weekend. MIN = MIA: It’s nothing short of amazing that the Vikings scored […]

Which QBs have the toughest remaining schedules?

Fantasy football winners are experts at playing the matchup game. Michael Fabiano and Jason Smith examine the quarterbacks who have the toughest remaining schedules for the second half of the season. Andrew Luck tops the list. Does that mean you should look to limit him to spot starts — or maybe even bench him altogether? Michael Fabiano takes a closer look. Tom Brady owners have suffered through some shockingly poor performances in recent weeks, and they will be less than thrilled to learn the disappointing QB finds himself ranked in the top 10 of this list. Is it time to dump him altogether? Can Colin Kaepernick’s style of play help him overcome the tough obstacles that lay ahead? Watch and […]

We’re playing the (Fantasy) Feud!

The NFL trading deadline may have come and gone with a whimper, but action remains fast and furious in fantasy leagues everywhere. So NFL Fantasy LIVE decided to ask America what players it would be willing to deal for. And we could just tell you the results, but what’s the fun in that? Instead … we’re playing the feud! Team Sitcom, better known as Mike (Fabiano) and Molly (Qerim) challenged Adam Rank and Akbar Gbajabiamilia, aka Team Follically Challenged. The first question was “Who would you trade for Andy Dalton?” Turns out the most popular answer was Tom Brady — something that would have been unthinkable as recently as September. However, the Red Rocket has been hot in recent weeks while Brady has […]

Nick Foles back at practice for Eagles

In today’s Three and Out: Nick Foles is back at practice for the Eagles; Zac Stacy appears to have avoided a high-ankle sprain.

The NFL Fantasy LIVE crew goes Trick or Trading!

With Halloween just a few days away, our expert panel decided to get together and see which players they are hoping to either receive or give away to other trick or traders. Michael Fabiano gives some insight into why he thinks now is the best time to trade away Fred Jackson. Adam Rank is selling if you’re looking to take Stevan Ridley off his hands. Jason Smith loves Knowshon Moreno’s production, but if history is a reliable indicator, that could change very quickly. And why would Akbar Gbaja-Biamila be looking to deal Wes Welker quickly? Check out the above link to find out. Our fantasy crew isn’t only in a giving mode, though. Adam Rank has his eye on a […]

Is Bengals WR Marvin Jones fool’s gold?

Jones explodes against Jets: Raise your hands if you had Marvin Jones scoring four TDs and rivaling an almost historic day by Megatron? Who can figure out the Jets defense? Ok, his parents can put their hands down. Anyone else? I didn’t think so. If your hand is in the air, your nose is probably growing. Jones had eight receptions on eight targets to go along with his 122 receiving yards and four touchdowns (way to go, Jets secondary!). Every one of those numbers represents a career high for Jones. Had this happened out of nowhere, I’d have been hesitant to trample over my league mates and try picking him up on the waiver wire. But after catching just one […]

Week 8 KABOOM!: Calvin Johnson’s 329-yard day

Calvin Johnson had a monster day in Week 8, catching 14 passes for 329 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Dallas Cowboys. He’s this week’s fantasy showstopper. Read on for more.

Week 8 fantasy feedback

» Just when you thought it was safe to start Robert Griffin III again, he struggles mightily against the Broncos defense. Next week, he faces the Chargers who have played better against QBs in their past two games. » Another nice week for Harry Douglas. He didn’t score a touchdown, but finished with 121 receiving yards. Even when Roddy White gets back, it’s going to be hard to bench Douglas. » When Alfred Morris scored a third quarter touchdown, we thought #Shanahanigans wouldn’t come into play. Until Washington stopped giving the ball to a back who is averaging 6.0 yards per carry for the day. » This isn’t your big brother’s Raiders defense. This year’s group has played respectable football. And if they have the […]

In this week’s Social (Fantasy) Network, we ask who your midseason MVP is .

C.J. Spiller could rest in Week 8

In today’s Three and Out: C.J. Spiller could get a much-needed rest and Doug Martin could be back sooner than expected.

Kurt Warner talks Fitz and fantasy

Our own Michael Fabiano spent a few minutes chatting with Kurt warner about a variety of topics. Naturally, the first question was about — what else? — fantasy football. Warner sheds some light on why he has become more of a fan of the hobby in recent years, and what aspect of the game annoys him the most. Warner also offered his opinion on why he expects Le’Veon Bell to start getting more touches, why he opted for picking up Bell over Zac Stacy and what he has to do to finally catch Tony Romo on a good week. Finally, the two discussed Larry Fitzgerald‘s role and whether he can turn things around to become elite again? Yes, Fitzgerald has been […]

Campbell gets the nod, A.D. wearing down?

Browns make QB change: I called this one a couple of days ago. Rob Chudzinski has apparently had enough of Brandon Weeden and decided to go with Jason Campbell at QB this week (and maybe even for the rest of the season). This has the potential to get very ugly since Campbell didn’t look much different than Weeden during his mop-up stint against the Ravens earlier this year. But with a full week of reps with the first-team offense? Hey, if Case Keenum can post a more than respectable outing, surely an eight-year veteran can at least match that. Campbell might get a couple TDs if Josh Gordon can take off and make something happen on his own. Spot-starting Campbell […]

Report: Michael Vick to start versus Giants

In today’s Three and Out: Michael Vick reportedly will start in Week 8; Mike James is the next man up in the Bucs’ backfield.

Cutler among injury-marred Week 7 victims

Cutler among those injured in Week 7: What a rough week for a number of fantasy staples, if not superstars. Sam Bradford and Reggie Wayne both had torn ACLs. Brian Cushing had disgusting and unimaginable injuries to his knee. Jermichael Finley suffered a concussion and was in ICU through most of Monday. Doug Martin may or may not be out for the year depending on whether you believe Greg Schiano. And as long as we’re at it, let’s just add Jay Cutler to the list. Bears head coach Marc Trestman told reporterson  Monday that Cutler will miss “a minimum” of four weeks with a torn groin muscle and will be “week to week” after that point. Trestman said Cutler told him he […]

Torn ACL ends Colts WR Wayne’s season

Reggie Wayne has played at an elite level since coming into the league as a rookie. A brief rundown of his résumé highlights: he helped the Colts win a Super Bowl, he made the Pro Bowl six times, he was an All-Pro three times, he led the NFL in receiving yards in 2007, and he’s also the Miami Hurricanes’ career receptions leader with 173. Pretty impressive feat since more than a few good NFL WRs spent their college days at the U. But his 2013 season came to a premature end as he suffered a torn ACL during Week 7 against the Broncos.   Wayne haden’t posted enormous fantasy stats this season like he did in the past, but he has […]
