Fantasy Draft Week: TB or not TB?

That is the question.

With so much turnover surrounding the New England Patriots pass-catching corps, fantasy owners are in a quandary about how high to select Tom Brady. Right now, it all depends on who you ask.

Fantasy Hall of Famer Michael Fabiano along with former Washington linebacker LaVar Arrington agree that the Patriots star quarterback will once again be his old self, reminding people that Brady has done plenty to boost the fantasy value of some otherwise ho-hum wide receivers. Deion Branch, anyone?

But that might not be so simple. Brady’s ascendance to the top of the fantasy quarterback rankings closely coincides with the arrivals of Randy Moss and Wes Welker to Foxboro. This season, the Patriots are likely to enter Week 1 with their top seven most-targeted players of 2012 either injured or off the roster. That’s a lot of production to replace.

Few, if any, are doubting that Brady will once again be a top 10 fantasy quarterback. But do you have the guts to make him among the first five QBs off the board? We await the consensus answer.
