Representatives from 12 NFL teams gathered at Boston College’s pro day on March 20, where 10 players worked out indoors on FieldTurf.
Emmett Cleary, OT (6-foot-7 1/8, 315 pounds) — Cleary stood on all of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, with the exception of the vertical jump (29 inches at pro day) and bench press (19 lifts of 225 pounds). Cleary also has 34-inch arms.
Chris Pantale, TE (6-5 1/4, 256) — Pantale ran the 40-yard dash in 4.93 and 5.00 seconds. He had a 9-foot-5 broad jump, did the three-cone drill in 7.32 seconds and had 20 strength lifts. He stood on his numbers from the combine in the vertical jump and short shuttle.
John Wetzel, OT (6-7 1/4, 316) — Wetzel ran the 40 in 5.42 and 5.41 seconds. He had a 29-inch vertical jump and a 4.78-second short shuttle time. He stood on his numbers from the combine in the broad jump, three-cone drill and bench press.
Nick Clancy, ILB (6-2 1/8, 237) — Clancy — who was not at the combine — ran the 40 in 4.93 and 4.92 seconds. He had a 30-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.26 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.90 seconds. Clancy did not do the bench press due to a fractured right forearm suffered at the Texas vs. The Nation all-star game. Clancy, who followed in the footsteps of the Carolina Panthers’ top draft pick in 2012 Luke Kuechly, was an extremely productive player for the Golden Eagles.
All four of the aforementioned players went through positional workouts.
