Representatives from 26 NFL teams gathered at Virginia Tech’s pro day on March 20, where 13 Hokies players went through a workout indoors on AstroTurf. AstroTurf, it should be noted, is a faster surface than natural grass or even FieldTurf.

Virginia Tech has had a player selected in every NFL draft going back to 1994.

Star Lotulelei has big pro day performance

Star Lotulelei needed a big performance at his pro day Wednesday after a heart condition kept him from working out at the NFL Scouting combine. The Utah defensive tackle did exactly that, dominating in the position drills, according to NFL Network and NFL.com analyst Akbar Gbajabiamila.
