Andre Ellington is convinced to attempt second 40-yard dash

A total of nine NFL teams were represented at Clemson Pro Day on March 7. They ran indoors on field-turf. Only one player held a workout.

Andre Ellington RB (5-9 3/8, 194 pounds) — He was at the combine but pulled his hamstring there and was reluctant to run because he was afraid he might pull it again. He ran 4.71 on his first 40-yard attempt before coaches convinced him it was in his best interest to run at full speed in order to get a better look at him. He ran 4.52 on his second attempt. Ellington did not jump or run the shuttles. He looked very good in the individual drills they put him through. He caught the ball extremely well. Ellington also caught punts, and they said he looked good.
