Tyrone Goard among small-school receivers on NFL radar

Representatives from 15 NFL teams gathered at Eastern Kentucky’s pro day on March 21, where nine Colonels players — plus five more from smaller colleges in the area — worked out outdoors on FieldTurf.

The workout was held in winter-like conditions, with the temperature at 25 degrees, snow flurries and a 10 to 15 mph wind.

Tyrone Goard, WR (6-foot-3 7/8, 205 pounds) — Goard was at the NFL Scouting Combine and stood on his numbers from the event. He did run the 60-yard shuttle in 11.48 seconds at the pro day. Goard was among a handful of receivers hailing from non-Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools invited to the combine.

T.J. Pryor, QB (6-2, 191) — Pryor — who was not at the combine — ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 seconds with the wind and 4.78 seconds against the wind. He had a 36-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-6 broad jump. His short shuttle time was 4.33 seconds and he did the three-cone drill in 7.24 seconds. Pryor has a chance to go to an NFL training camp as an extra arm.
