Robert Alford draws scouts, coaches to Southeastern Louisiana

Southeastern Louisiana hosted 18 NFL teams for its pro day on a March 26. Defensive back coaches from the New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams were on-hand to see cornerback Robert Alford on a chilly, 43-degree day. Five Lions ran drills and were joined by one player from Henderson State.

Robert Alford, CB (5-10 1/2, 186) — Alford did a positional workout and people said he looked smooth and quick.

Nathan Stanley, QB (6-4 1/2, 218) — Stanley had a good workout. He’s got a big arm but lacks accuracy. He ran a 4.84-second 40-yard dash with the wind and a 4.93 seconds against the wind. He also performed a 29 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-1 broad jump, a 4.48-second short shuttle run and a 7.36-second three-cone drill.
