Vince Young working out at Texas’ pro day

AUSTIN, Texas — Vince Young joins Longhorns players working out at Texas’ pro day on Tuesday.

Young — who was cut by the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 preseason — is attempting a comeback after a once-promising NFL career quickly derailed for the No. 3 overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft.

Among those on hand for Texas’ pro day are Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert, Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and defensive line coach Jay Hayes, and New York Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman.

More details on Texas’ pro day — which is being conducted indoors on FieldTurf — will come following the conclusion of the workout.
