Gerrard Sheppard runs impressive 40-yard dash at Towson State

A total of 10 players from Towson State worked out at the school’s pro day on March 12, which also featured two players from other schools. The workouts were held outdoors on FieldTurf in front of representatives from six NFL teams.

Jordan Dangerfield, S (5-11, 199 pounds) — The Hofstra transfer ran a wind-aided time of 4.58 seconds in the 40-yard dash and recorded an impressive 10-yard split time of 1.50. He recorded a vertical jump of 41 1/2 inches and a 10-foot-5 broad jump. He went 4.27 in the short shuttle run and 6.74 in the cone drill.

Frank Beltre, DL (6-1 3/4, 240 pounds) — Beltre worked out as a linebacker, recorded a 4.67 40. He had a 9-foot-4 broad jump and a 34 1/2-inch vertical jump.

Gerrard Sheppard, WR (6-0 1/2, 211 pounds) — Sheppard posted an impressive time of 4.48 in the 40 and went 10-foot-1 in the broad jump. He clocked in at 4.41 in the short shuttle run.
