Representatives from 28 NFL teams gathered at Stony Brook’s pro day on Friday, where seven Seawolves players worked out.
Miguel Maysonet, RB (5-foot-8 7/8, 212 pounds) — Maysonet — who was at the NFL Scouting Combine — ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 and 4.62 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-11 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.27 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.19 seconds. He performed 21 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Maysonet looked quick in the positional drills and displayed good hands.
Maysonet transferred to Stony Brook from Hofstra when the school dropped its football program.
Maysonet helped Stony Brook finish 11-3 in the 2012 season, which ended with a loss to Montana State in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs.
