Boise State’s D.J. Harper, Jamar Taylor solidify draft status

Representatives from 13 NFL teams gathered at Boise State’s pro day on Thursday, where 11 players went through a workout indoors on FieldTurf.

D.J. Harper, RB (5-foot-9 1/8, 209 pounds) — Harper ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 and 4.49 seconds. He ran the short shuttle in 4.19 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.87 seconds. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Harper did positional drills and caught the ball very well.

Jamar Taylor, CB (5-10 7/8, 193) — Taylor stood on his combine numbers (he was among the top performers in his position group in three events) and only did positional drill work, looking very solid as a performer.

Jerrell Gavins, CB (5-7 7/8, 170) — Gavins had a good workout, but his height might prevent him from consideration for being brought into an NFL training camp.
