Representatives from seven NFL teams gathered at the pro day held at Idaho State on Monday, where five players went through a workout held indoors on AstroTurf.
It should be noted that AstroTurf is a faster running surface than FieldTurf and natural grass.
Joshua Hill, TE (6-foot-5, 246 pounds) — Hill ran the 40-yard dash in 4.63 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-7 broad jump. His three-cone drill time was 7.10 seconds, and he had a 4.27-second short shuttle time. He also performed 20 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Hill — a second-team All-Big Sky honoree — could be a rookie free-agent pickup following the 2013 NFL Draft.
Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was the last player drafted out of Idaho State, going in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs.
