Representatives from 10 NFL teams gathered at the pro day held March 8 at Florida Atlantic, where nine players participated in a workout that was held outdoors on FieldTurf.
David Hinds, LB (6-foot-5 5/8, 223 pounds) — Hinds ran the 40-yard dash in 4.82 and 4.75 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-3 broad jump. He had a 4.56-second short shuttle and a 7.12-second three-cone drill. Hinds also had 18 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Hinds — who was not at the NFL Scouting Combine — is a potential seventh-round draft choice, or rookie free-agent pickup following the draft.
It should be noted that Florida Atlantic produced Alfred Morris, who went on from being a sixth-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft to set the Washington Redskins’ single-season rushing yardage record (1,613 yards).
