Geno Smith won’t wait for pro day to show off arm

Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III chose not to throw at the NFL Scouting Combine last year, opting instead to throw to receivers at their respective pro days. A similar situation isn’t expected to play out at this year’s combine.

West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith will throw at this year’s combine, Gil Brandt reports.

With the quarterback-needy Kansas City Chiefs situated in the top spot of the draft, some experts currently project Smith to go No. 1 overall.

West Virginia’s pro day is scheduled for March 14.
